A new era in more ways than one at Windermere Hotel Bar

All finished in time for summer are the extensive refurbishments on a Windermere hotel’s restaurant and bar.

With the professional photography now featuring on Applegarth Villa’s website of the refurbishments of the hotel’s bar and restaurant, both past and prospective guests can see the developments for themselves.

It has not simply been a lick of paint in these areas but comprehensive decorating, new lighting, wall fittings, new furniture and colour schemes with the largest change being in the bar. A new bespoke bar has been constructed and installed with a granite surface and back lit shelves to house the many whiskies and local beverages on offer.

Understated luxury with accents of the 1920’s and 30’s is prevalent with the overall feel promoting a relaxing atmosphere, a great way to unwind and escape the pressures of work and life. Choose to sit on the chaise lounge, in a tall chair at the bar or in the conservatory with views of the fells and have pre dinner drinks or post dinner digestives.

New inclusions, decorations and updating have also occurred in some of the bedrooms and the reception. Full decoration including colour theme change has been carried out in Deluxe Room 3. Luxury Room 9 has new coordinating furniture and Ultimate Luxury Suite 1 has a new shower, note the accents from the bar area of the 1920’s in this bathroom too. The grand reception area has been given some animal magnetism with soft furnishings in various animal prints.
